Pastor Ron began in ministry with his wife, Ava, in 1987 as Children's Pastors. Over the next two decades he served in many facets of ministry, primarily with Children's and Youth Ministry, Small Groups and as an Associate Pastor. He is also retired, after 20 years of service, from the Houston Fire Department (2003).
After receiving a Bachelor of Ministry in Christian Studies from Masters International School of Divinity (MISD) in 2007, Pastor Ron went on to earn his Doctorate of Divinity from MISD in 2011. His ordination credentials are held through Global Network of Christian Ministries. Pastor Ron preaches a message of grace with a challenge for people to walk in holiness.
Hobbies include: everything motorcycles from Harleys to KTM dirt bikes, outdoor activities from tennis to hiking, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Ava has a great love and compassion for others. She enjoys teaching Bible studies, leading ladies prayer and providing Biblical guidance for families at The Light. Additionally, she uses her background in communications and administration in the day to day operations of the church.
Pastor Ron & Ava have two precious children Ryan and Hannah. Ava graduated with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Houston and received a certificate of completion from Rhema Bible School. Additionally, she is a Certified Christian Counselor through the International Institute of Faith Based Counseling (IIFBC). Ava was ordained through the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers (AFCM).
Hobbies/Interests include: traveling to new places, scrapbooking, and spending time with family & friends!
Michael Pape serves as an Associate Pastor here at The Light and oversees Worship Arts, Light Youth, and Young Adults. Michael has served in ministry since 2000 and has earned a bachelor’s degree from Lee University in Christian Education. Through his genuine and relational style of ministry, Michael has a heart for building teams, encouraging leaders, and preaching the Gospel. He is ordained through The Light Community Fellowship. He and his wife, Annge, have been married since 1994 and have 3 beautiful daughters.
Hobbies/Interests: As outdoor enthusiasts, he and Annge love spending time on the lake, camping, hunting, fishing and traveling the country.
Jim has been an insurance executive with over 20 years experience and currently serves in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He has been married to Chrisy for 13 years and has 4 adult children. Jim is an Associate Pastor at The Light and oversees the Ministry of Helps, teaches in our Sunday morning classes and shares from the pulpit from time to time. He is also a Certified Christian Counselor through the International Institute of Faith Based Counselors (IIFBC) and is ordained through The Light Community Fellowship. He is an active chaplain with the Montgomery County Pct 1 Chaplaincy program which helps families in the community at times of loss and need. Jim's passion is serving and connecting people to the Kingdom of God.
Hobbies/Interests include: outdoor activities such as running, swimming, and boating. He also enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Teaching the Word to the Deaf has always been a passion engrained in Scott's heart since he came to know the Lord during his teen years. He has taught and served the Deaf in various capacities whether it be in the community, at church or in prison ministry. Scott served on the board of Deaf Video Communications for 15 years, is one of the founders of Deaf Prison Ministries Network, served as executive director of Healing Hands Ranch for 4 years, and is now pastor for the Deaf here at The Light, bi-vocationally. Scott holds a bachelors in Information Systems and a masters in Computer Science while Kathy holds a bachelors in Deaf Education. Scott and his wife, Kathy, ministered to the Deaf in Chicago for 18 years and recognized God's calling to move back to Texas to serve Him in the Conroe/Willis area. They and their 4 children, Wesley, Austin, Brayden and Baylee, joined The Light in 2008. On the side, Scott also works for SA4i as co-partner/software engineer and still volunteers his time teaching Bible studies to the Deaf prisoners in Huntsville.
Hobbies/interests include: riding his motorcycle, traveling with his family, and helping his wife with big projects.
Ryan is The Light's Youth Leader and oversees the 7th-12th grade area. He grew up in the Willis area, graduating from Covenant Christian School. Thereafter, he attended Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney, Australia and thereafter completed an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies degree from Grace Theological Seminary.

Rhett and Lacy have a heart for teaching young adults about the truths of God's Word and how to walk that out in their every day lives. Being a young adult has it's challenges, especially in today's society, and they truly love being able to walk alongside this group to help lead and guide them in ways that are Biblically based. Rhett and Lacy have been married for 7 years and currently live in Huntsville. They have a 3 year old son named Harlon, who is the light of their life, and he absolutely lives life to the fullest, which keeps them on their toes! Rhett is the Director of Onshore Operations at International Association of Drilling Contractors in Houston, and Lacy is a stay at home mom, while consulting for a skincare company.
Hobbies/Interests include: traveling, especially when it includes snowboarding in the mountains. Rhett enjoys training/riding horses, reading (especially biographies) and boxing. Lacy enjoys reading, learning new things, pilates and coffee shops. They are so excited to be a part of what God is doing at The Light!
Tommy and Pam Bowen are our Sr. Adult Coordinators and serve in a myriad of ministries at The Light. Tommy is also our facilities director and oversees the usher ministry. Pam serves in accounting, women’s ministry and does a great job of taking care of Pastor Ava as her assistant. Additionally, they host a weekly Light Group in the Willis area. Tommy and Pam were high school sweethearts and have been married since 1978. They have 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren, which are the joys of their lives. Tommy & Pam both are graduates of Texas A&M University. Gig 'em! Tommy served 24 years in the Conroe Fire Department and retired as Battalion Chief in 2008. Pam homeschooled all of her children and has served as a teacher at the Training Center for 8 years. The Bowens arrived at The Light in 2008 and hit the ground running. Tommy & Pam’s passion for ministry is to see people discover the goodness and truth of God’s love.
Hobbies/Interest : Tommy enjoys reading, history, hunting, and spending time with the family. Pam's interests include reading, spending time with children and grand-babies!
Randi has always had a love for singing and the arts. She began leading worship in 1999 for her church’s youth ministry, and from 2002 – 2007, she served as the worship leader at a church plant in Houston. In 2004, Randi married Zach, and they now have two children, Madysen and Ethan. In 2010, Randi graduated from The David Project, a worship leader training program, and began working part-time at a church in The Woodlands, TX. The Morrows joined The Light staff in 2011.
Randi loves to spend her time with Zach and her kids, and also enjoys a good book.
Erika oversees the production teams for The Light, basically if you're hearing it or seeing it in one of our services she and her team members have had something to do with it! An overachiever at heart, Erika graduated from Willis High School two years early and then continued her education at Baylor earning both her Bachelors and Masters by the age of 22. With all of her achievements and extended education, God had placed a love for the local church in her heart. She and her husband, Todd, have served in many facets of The Light, from Kid's Ministry to accounting and now stage production. Erika has discovered her passion and love for seeing all of the production elements come together to bring glory to God.
Hobbies/Interests: spending time with friends, kayaking, walking our dogs, cheering on my favorite football teams, and finding new restaurants with great food.
Michael serves in the media department and is primarily responsible for visual media at The Light. Besides serving in the media department he also is a part of the Worship Arts team playing piano and running lighting. Michael is a graduate of Willis High School where he was an member of the ROTC program. He has a passion for creating story and art for the increase of The Kingdom through video and graphic design.
Hobbies/Interests: Michael enjoys sports, photography and piano, as well as spending time with his friends and family.
Diana Cristales is the epitome of a joyful heart and is the MOMs Coordinator for The Light. Diana’s passion is to let mothers know that they are never alone and that Jesus will always be with them. She grew up in the Spring/Woodlands area and graduated from Willis High School, Class of ’99. After high school, she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Houston.
Diana has travelled the world with her husband, Juan, who was in the Marine Corps for 19 years. Juan is now a retired veteran and is a real estate investor. They are settled here in Willis and have 3 children Juan, Julian, and Jonah.
Hobbies/Interests include: jogging with the stroller, teaching in the preschool area at church, putt-putt golf and especially spending time with family.
Chrisy grew up in the Cypress, TX area and moved to Willis, TX in 1986. She has been on staff with The Light since 2012. Chrisy is married to Jim Walker and serves alongside him in the Ministry of Helps (MOH). She has a passion for women’s prison ministry and oversees the Light Within the Walls Prison Ministry, which reaches inmates through visitation and Bible study. The ministry provides Bibles and journals to those incarcerated and provides encouragement through letter writing. Chrisy has a heart to bring those that are hurting in prison to Jesus so they may know how much they are loved and valued. Chrisy is also a Certified Christian Counselor through the International Institute of Faith Based Counseling (IIFBC). Besides serving in the MOH and prison ministry she helps in our women's ministry. She and Jim have 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Interests/Hobbies include: worship, reading, swimming, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rex & Suzanne have been a part of Marriage Ministry leadership for 7 years, facilitating and training couples in God's perspective for marriage. The Pearce's passion for marriage is for couples who are struggling to be restored and for those who need to strengthen their union to gain knowledge of what it takes to have a GREAT marriage, not just a good marriage. The Pearce's have been married 27 years and have three adult children and four grandchildren.
Hobbies/Interests: Game nights with other couples--especially Dominoes, camping with family and spending time with the kids and grandkids.
Andy oversees our Hospital Ministry team at The Light. He and his team have a huge heart of compassion for those who are sick and suffering and believe that Jesus is still the Great Physician. James 5:14 states, "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord." Andy and the prayer team have a heart to pray for healing. Hospitals are the place where people are open to hear the Gospel and what Christ did for their healing. Andy has served in this area for over a decade and has seen the supernatural healing of God manifest through faith in God's Word and His divine mercy.
Andy has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA in Finance and Economics, and his career an extensive career in sales. He also served our country in the U.S. Army for 2 years and 5 years in the Reserves.
Andy has been married to Jo Ann for 58 years and claims she is still "his inspiration!"
Hobbies/Interests include: fishing, hunting birds, and golf. He also built and raced vintage cars for 13 years. His current passion is shooting sports.
Paula Richard is our receptionist, whose outgoing and loving personality makes her the ultimate people person. Raised by an evangelist and a master builder, her primary focus is on loving God and building His people up by showing love and encouraging them with the Word of God.
Paula has a huge heart to volunteer and also serves on our Worship Arts Team, MOMS Ministry as a mentor mom, and in our Women’s Ministry.
She has a large family heritage in Lafayette, Louisiana and was previously a restaurant owner with a passion for cooking cajun cuisine and sweet southern treats. Additionally, she was once a United States Mail Carrier. Paula has two adult sons, Joshua and Joe.
Interests / Hobbies include: Praise & worship, listening to music, creative writing, inventing new concepts & designs, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Kimi is an administrative assistant with an extensive background in executive assisting and lending banking for over 16 years.
She grew up in the Laurel, MS area and has lived in Texas the past 17 years. She has been married to the love of her life, Jeff, for over 25 years. They have 4 grown children and 1 grandchild.
Kimi has been a member of The Light for several years and recently joined the staff. She serves in the women's ministry and Kid's Light.
Interests/Hobbies: Cooking, jewelry making, decorating, watching football and spending time with family.
Mark & Yvonne have been involved in children’s ministry for over 20 years. They have served as pre-school teachers, elementary class teachers and Children’s Directors. Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a teaching certification in the State of Texas with ESL and Special Education. Mark and Yvonne were married in 1997 and have two teen daughters, Victoria and Olivia. The Light Community Fellowship has been the Jungwirth family’s home church since its first service. Mark and Yvonne have a heart to serve, be a blessing to children and to reach families through children. One of their favorite activities is being with the kids at camp and watching them grow closer to God. They also enjoy traveling, road trips, and time together. Yvonne enjoys reading, and Mark is a “Mr. Fixit”. He loves anything with wires, switches, knobs and electricity.
